Riverview Estate - Riverview

Riverview is a residential suburb in the City of Ipswich, approximately 31 km west of Brisbane CBD and around 7–10 km east of central Ipswich. The suburb has a population of about 3,067 people according to the 2021 Census and offers a mix of established homes and family-oriented residential areas.

Local amenities and shopping: Riverview has convenient access to everyday facilities, although major supermarkets and larger retail centres are generally located in neighbouring suburbs. Nearby options include Redbank Plaza, Riverlink Shopping Centre, Booval Fair and Town Square Redbank Plains. Ipswich CBD also provides additional retail, dining, government and community services.

Education: Riverview is served by Riverview Primary School for primary education and St Peter Claver College for secondary schooling. There are also several public, Catholic and independent schools in surrounding suburbs, including schools in Redbank, Collingwood Park, Bundamba and Ipswich.

Transportation: Riverview has its own Riverview railway station, providing access to Queensland Rail services toward Ipswich and Brisbane. The suburb is also close to the Ipswich Motorway, making Brisbane and surrounding western suburbs accessible by car. Current suburb data places the train journey to Brisbane CBD at roughly 44–45 minutes, depending on the service.

Parks and recreation: Residents have access to several local parks and open spaces, including Riverview Park, Frank Mitchell Park and Broad Family Park. Larger recreational destinations around Ipswich and the western suburbs include Queens Park, Colleges Crossing and White Rock–Spring Mountain Conservation Estate.
